Terms and Conditions

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the website getdnsinfo.com (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using this Service's particular tools, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this Service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this Service.

    2. Description of Service

Get DNS INFO provides users with access to a rich collection of network diagnostic resources, including DNS lookups, IP geolocation, WHOIS queries, and speed testing tools. You understand and agree that the Service is provided "AS-IS" and that Get DNS INFO assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery, or failure to store any user communications or personalization settings.

    3. Acceptable Use and Restrictions

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Service. Prohibited behavior includes:

    • Automated Scraping: Utilizing automated scripts, bots, or undocumented APIs to scrape bulk data from our diagnostic tools is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.
    • Denial of Service: Attempting to overwhelm our infrastructure through excessive queries (DDoS).
    • Malicious Intent: Using our tools to facilitate cyber attacks, unauthorized reconnaissance, or harassment.

We reserve the right to instantly block or ban IP addresses that violate these usage limits to protect the stability of the Service for other users.

    4. API Usage and Rate Limiting

Access to our automated diagnostic interfaces (APIs) is strictly governed by rate limiting policies designed to ensure fair use and platform stability.

    • Free Tier Limits: Unauthenticated endpoints are subject to stringent rate limits. Exceeding these limits will result in automated temporary IP bans (HTTP 429 Too Many Requests).
    • Enterprise SLAs: Only users with explicit Enterprise API contracts are granted Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding uptime and query throughput. Standard web-interface users operate without guaranteed SLAs.
    • Reverse Engineering: Attempting to bypass rate limits by reverse-engineering the frontend network calls or utilizing proxy rotation is a material breach of these terms.

    5. User-Generated Data and Logging

While our core diagnostic tools operate on a strict "zero-logging" policy regarding the *content* of your queries (e.g., we do not store the domains you look up), we do collect necessary telemetry and security data.

    • Security Logs: For DDoS protection and rate limiting, our edge nodes (Cloudflare/Vercel) may temporarily log your IP address, User-Agent, and timestamp.
    • Submitted Feedback: Any feedback, suggestions, or error reports submitted to Get DNS INFO become the property of Get DNS INFO. We may use this information to improve our services without any obligation of compensation.

    6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, educational articles, and functionality are owned by Get DNS INFO and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our educational content without explicit attribution and permission.

    7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The diagnostic data provided by Get DNS INFO (including but not limited to DNS records, IP geolocation data, and WHOIS information) is aggregated from public registries and authoritative nameservers.

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We make no warranty that (i) the Service will meet your requirements, (ii) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or (iii) the results obtained from the use of the Service will be 100% accurate or reliable. You utilize the diagnostic data at your own risk.

    8. Limitation of Liability

You expressly understand and agree that Get DNS INFO shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the service; (ii) reliance on inaccurate DNS or networking data provided by the service resulting in server downtime or misconfiguration.

    9. Advertisements and Third-Party Links

Get DNS INFO is supported by advertising revenue, primarily through Google AdSense. We do not endorse, guarantee, or make any representations regarding any products or services advertised on our site. Your correspondence or business dealings with advertisers found on or through the Service are solely between you and such advertiser.

    10. Modifications to Service

Get DNS INFO reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that Get DNS INFO shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

    11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
