1. Architectural Zero-Log Policy

Get DNS INFO is built for network architects and cybersecurity researchers who require absolute confidentiality when auditing infrastructure. Therefore, our application layer is stateless.

When you execute a DNS query, WHOIS lookup, or IP geolocation trace on our platform:

• Your browser initiates a secure, encrypted HTTPS request to our edge nodes.
• Our backend proxies the request via DNS-over-HTTPS (RFC 8484) to authoritative root servers.
• The payload is returned to your browser and immediately flushed from our server memory.
• We do not write the query payload to any database, text file, or long-term storage array.

2. Information Collection & Data Minimization

Following the principle of Data Minimization (Article 5(1)(c) of the GDPR), we only collect data that is strictly technically necessary to prevent DDoS attacks and ensure server stability.

A. What We Do NOT Collect

• Account credentials (we have no login system).
• Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names or physical addresses.
• Historical logs of your diagnostic workflows or searched domains.

B. What We DO Collect (Temporarily)

• Transient IP Addresses: To enforce API rate limits (Token Bucket Algorithm) and protect our infrastructure from automated scraping, our Web Application Firewall (WAF) temporarily holds connection IP addresses in memory. These are automatically purged on a rolling 24-hour cycle and are never correlated with specific DNS search queries.

3. Monetization & Third-Party Vendors

Operating a high-throughput, 28-node global Anycast network requires significant capital. To keep our enterprise-grade tools 100% free for the community, we monetize our traffic through the Google AdSense network.

By using our platform, you acknowledge the following regarding third-party advertising:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to our website or other websites on the internet.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to GetDNSInfo.com.
• Critical Security Boundary: Our application architecture strictly isolates your DNS queries from the advertising layer. We do not pass your search strings (e.g., the domain you are investigating) to Google AdSense or any tracking pixel.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page.

4. Regulatory Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. Because we do not collect PII or maintain user accounts, there is generally no data for us to export or delete upon request.

However, if you have contacted our Enterprise Support team via email, you may request the deletion of that email correspondence by contacting our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@getdnsinfo.com. We will comply with all Right to Erasure requests within 72 hours.
